Charles William (Billy) Wells Sr., 86, of Elliston died, Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, at his home. He was born in Elliston, Va. on April 11, 1932 to the late George Edward and Virgie Belle Cheatwood Wells. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Oliver Wells, son, Lonnie Edward Wells, great granddaughter, Emma Wright, brothers, James Wells, Erskine Wells and David Wells, sisters, Dot Oliver, Polly Roberts, Marie Caldwell, Eleanor Young, Mary Crawford.

He was former Pastor of more than 20 years at Little Country Mission and a builder. He was a member of Lighthouse Full Gospel Church in Roanoke.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Gana W. and Danny Reed, Anita Sue Wells, Veronda and Raul Zaga, sons and daughters-in-law, Charles W. Jr. and Linda Wells, Gerald W. and Sandy Wells, brother, Bobby Wells, sister, Edna Worrell, 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives, special friends, Ricky Smith, Jack and Dale Wimmer. The family gives special thanks to the nursing staff at Good Samaritan Hospice for their care.

Funeral Services were conducted on Jan. 4, 2019 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Shaffer officiating. Interment followed in the Halls Church Cemetery, Elliston. The family received friends on Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
