Emma Stipes competes for the Blue Demons in the 100 yard butterfly at a Tuesday night home meet at the Christiansburg Aquatics Center. Christiansburg’s girls finished 6-1 in dual meet scores, while the boys were 2-4 on the night.Blacksburg’s Sam Sterling gets started in the 100 yard freestyle, and would win the event in a time of 50.18. Both the Blacksburg boys and girls finished 6-0 in dual scores.Blacksburg’s Hailey Slusser won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 58.54.Christiansburg’s Madeline Sarver placed second in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 1:02.83.Blacksburg’s Nick Fillo would place second in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:20.13. Teammate Robert Hodge would win the event in a time of 5:18.19.Christiansburg’s Tilly Craddock placed third in the 500 yard freestyle (6:08.39).
