Daniel Ray Hunter, 64, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, Mar. 16, 2019 at Pulaski Health and Rehab. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on May 16, 1954 to the late Paul Daniel and Ester Mae Caldwell Hunter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gale Evens Hunter and brother, Donald Hunter, brothers-in-law, Dell Parker, Carlos and Betty Moore, Teddy and Liz Hinkley, Marvin Hinkley, sister-in-law, Barbara Otey.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Emmanuel Amankrah, grandsons, Ethan, Nathan and Matthew Amankrah, sister, Patty Parker, brother, Mitchell Hunter, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy and Brenda Hinkley, Forest and Theresa Hinkley, Andrew Otey, sister-in-law, Marie Hinkley.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Mar. 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family received friends Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
