Alice in Wonderland

Blacksburg’s Children’s Chorale will present Alice in Wonderland Revue at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at the Great Road on Main (100 W. Main Street) in Christiansburg.

“The Alice in Wonderland Revue features 40 local youth ranging in age from 8 to 14,” Patrice Yearwood, Children’s Chorale artistic director wrote in an email.

“All members of the chorale will be featured in this production; the youngest members of the group’s Preparatory Choir will make up the ensemble of playing cards, while the more experienced choristers from the group’s Camerata Choir and Performance Ensemble will be featured in the familiar lead and supporting roles including Alice, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, Caterpillar, Queen of Hearts, and many more.

The Blacksburg Children’s Chorale was established in 2006 as part of the Blacksburg Master Chorale’s educational outreach.

The Chorale invites you to join us for a magical musical theatre revue featuring all of your favorite characters from the classic Lewis Carroll tale, Alice in Wonderland, the announcement said.

“BCC choristers of all ages will perform in this family-friendly show featuring timeless tunes that are sure to please kids and adults of all ages,”  Yearwood wrote.

Admission is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the door. The event supports BCC scholarships and trip funds.

“Performances are at 1:00 and 4:00, giving you two chances to attend this must-see event!” the announcement said. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/events/2504570606281358/
