The Montgomery Museum of Art and History will be holding a used book sale on April 12-13 at the New River Valley Mall in Christiansburg. The sale also offers DVDs and CDs, puzzles, magazines, comic books and audiobooks.

Cindy Akers, a Montgomery Museum volunteer and board member, sorts some of the thousands of used books in preparation for the April 12-13 sale at the New River mall.

On Friday, April 12, museum members get a head start on the book sale between 12 and 1 p.m. before the sale opens to the public and runs from 1-7 p.m. on Friday and 10 – 7 on Saturday, April 13.

“If you are looking for a bargain on books, this is your opportunity!” the museum said in an announcement. “ With the exception of a few individually priced books, paperback books will be $0.50, large format paperback books are $1.00, hardback books will be $1.50. DVDs and CDs will be $2.00.

We have nearly 4,000 books including children’s books, as well as adult fiction and nonfiction. Genres include mystery, romance, science fiction, cooking, history, crafts, religion, self help and much, much more!

Proceeds will be used to help the museum present educational programming, care for collections and prepare exhibits.
