The Great Christiansburg Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, RSVP by April 19

Children from under 3 to 12 years old are invited to the Great Christiansburg Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 20, at Kiwanis Park (310 Kiwanis Lane SE) in Christiansburg.

Children run through springtime grass together at the Christiansburg Easter Egg Hunt.

The Kiwanis Club of Christiansburg and the Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department are teaming up for the event. Participants must RSVP for the event by 5 p.m. on April 19 by calling (540) 382-2349.

Please arrive early to make sure your child is able to get his or her age-group wristband before the hunt begins.

Your child must hunt in his and her age group.

There will be prizes and a raffle at the end of the event.

Photos with the Easter Bunny are available for $1.

Please bring your own baskets and arrive early to claim your spot for your hunt area.


Children will hunt for eggs in age groups at the following times:

  • Ages 3-5: 10 a.m.
  • Ages 6-8: 10:15 a.m.
  • Ages 9-12: 10:30 a.m.
  • Ages under 3: 10:45 a.m.

For more information, please call (540)-382-2349. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the Christiansburg Recreation Center. Please call after 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, to see if the hunt has been moved.
