One thing about spring that I’m not excited about is lawn mowing and road construction. I have already mowed my lawn three times, and the Town of Christiansburg is into road construction in several areas. The location that most residents have noticed is at Pizza Inn. The town has been working on the sewage system, replacing sewage lines that have been in place for fifty years. Contractors will be finished with this phase at the beginning of May. They will return to reinstall another section in the same area later in the summer.
The town staff would like to thank the residents of Christiansburg for their patience while they are working on these projects. In the long run a little inconvenience today is better than sewage back-ups in the future.
