On a sunny morning, Lisa Garcia and Ty Stephenson harvest blueberries in their Blacksburg garden continuing a tradition since Ty , nineteen now, was a baby.
“Usually they’ve been destined for pancakes, but maybe we’ll have them in oatmeal or yogurt. Ty just eats ‘em plain.,” Garcia said holding a colander mounded with berries. “’Just pop ‘em in our mouths.”
