Golfers take part in last year’s Annual Golf Classic to benefit Persons with Intellectual Disabilities. “Golf with IDA for a worthy cause, supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in our area,” states Sheila Roop, organizer of the event. “We are proud to have Christiansburg Kiwanis sponsor lunch for the golfers! Christiansburg Kiwanis has always supported IDA and we are pleased to have them involved in the Golf Classic.”The 22th Annual Golf Classic will take place on Monday, Aug. 12 at Blacksburg Country Club. Check in at noon, followed by lunch.Tee off with shotgun start at 1 pm. Entry fee for the tournament is $75 per person or $300 per team. Individual golfers can be accommodated into teams.
