CITIZEN COMMENT PERIOD & PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

COMMENT PERIOD

Draft copies of the Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plan are available for review beginning Monday, September 9, 2019 and ending October 10, 2019.  The plan shall outline proposed activities for Community Development Block Group funding through a multiyear process including the current year. The years of the consolidated plan range from 2017 to 2021 in order to line up with other partner localities that are members of the NRV Home Consortium. A print copy of the draft plan will be located at the Christiansburg Public Library, located at 125 Sheltman Street during the review process.  Additional copies can be obtained from the Christiansburg Planning Department, located at the Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street; Christiansburg, VA 24073-3029 or on the Town’s website at www.christiansburg.org.  Provide any comments or suggestions by mailing to the above address or by contacting Andrew Warren, Assistant Town Manager

PUBLIC HEARING

Town Council will host a public hearing to receive comments on the draft plan on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 7:00 PM. Anyone interested in commenting is welcome to attend. The meeting will be held in Town Hall at 100 E. Main Street in the Council Chambers located on the upper floor. Any interested party whose participation in this meeting would require reasonable accommodation of a handicap or language services, please contact the Town Manager’s Office (540) 382-6128 at least six days in advance.
