Four Radford University men’s soccer players earned their spots on the Big South All-Conference teams, the conference office announced recently.

Redshirt senior midfielder Victor Valls became a four-time all-conference honoree after being selected as a Second Team All-Big South performer. Valls set a career high with three goals in 2019, including the overtime winner against Howard on October 1.

Octavio Ocampo earned multiple conference honors for the 2019 season, as the Guadalajara, Mexico, native was selected as a Second Team All-Big South performer and was also named to the Big South All-Freshman Team. Ocampo finished second on the team in points with nine, tied for third with three goals and tied for third with three assists, while starting 15 games as both a defender and a midfielder.

Midfielder Mouhameth Thiam was selected to the All-Freshman Team. Thiam led Radford in scoring with 13 points, scoring a team-high five goals and adding three assists. Four of Thiam’s five goals came in Big South Conference matches, including three in Radford’s final four conference games.

Additionally, redshirt junior defender Jacob Wilkinson was selected to the Big South All-Academic Team. Wilkinson, who was also selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team earlier in the week, set career-highs across the board with 11 appearances, 10 starts, four shots and 897 minutes played.
