The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2019 version of is Chamber Business Showcase Wednesday at The Inn at Virginia Tech. the event was a chance for chamber members and supporters to mix and mingle, to enjoy some good food and beverages, to network and to present their goods and services directly to their potential customers.
Seventy-three vendors and service providers set up booths for the showcase and invited the public to see what they could do or provide.
The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce was born out of the 2003 merger of the respective chambers of commerce in Blacksburg and Christiansburg. The merger has proven to be a success as the chamber currently has 679 members, according to Executive Director Sharon Scott. The organization also moved in May into a new building at 210 Laurel St. in Christiansburg.
A wide-ranging variety of goods and services were on display at the showcase, which included several service organizations such as Vittles for Vets and several medical companies such as Carillion NRV Medical Center.
