Since its publication in 1967, The Outsiders has been a well-loved novel by readers of all ages. The Christiansburg High School Blue Demon drama department is proud to present the stage version of this S.E. Hinton classic.
The Greasers, a group of teen friends from the wrong side of the tracks, are constantly at odds with the Socials, the wealthier kids. When Greasers Ponyboy and Johnny find themselves in major trouble after a brawl that ends in the death of a Soc, they go into hiding. Their friend Dallas comes to their aid, but no one can predict the heroic and tragic events the boys soon face. While some Greasers strive to achieve redemption, others meet tragic ends.
