Effective Thursday, April 2, Blacksburg Transit is suspending fares on all services and implementing rear-door boarding where possible. Front door boarding is available for persons with mobility aids and strollers.
The passenger limit implemented on March 25 remains in effect: nine passengers on Blacksburg buses, four passengers on Christiansburg routes and Warm Hearth, and one passenger (and personal care attendant, if authorized) on BT Access.
This precaution is in addition to cleaning the buses and practicing social distancing within the facilities. Blacksburg Transit asks that passengers do their part by taking only essential trips.
