LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Christiansburg Town Council will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of discussing a lease of property at 415 Cambria Street NW on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 7 P.M.

 

Whereas Governor Northam has declared a state of emergency in the Commonwealth of Virginia due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and declared the anticipated effects of COVID-19 to be a disaster within the meaning of Virginia Code § 44-146.16; the meeting will be held by means of electronic communication as authorized by Code of Virginia § 15.2-1413, § 2.2-3708.2(A)(3), Chapter 1283 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly § 4-0.01(g), the Continuity of Government Ordinance passed by Christiansburg Town Council on March 24, 2020, and all other applicable authority.

 

The Public shall have access to the meeting through live streaming as set forth below, and may submit comments by any of the following means:

-By mail to Town Hall, ATTN: Town Council (please allow adequate mailing time).

In order for Town Council to receive submitted comments prior to the May 26 meeting and for the comments to be reflected in the minutes, comments must be submitted by 6 P.M. on May 26 via any of the methods listed above.  You may also sign up to speak live during the meeting through means of electronic communication at www.christiansburg.org/

publichearings.

 

This is a proposed lease of approximately 10,000 square feet of warehouse space in the front, left portion of the building and a portion of approximately 1,560 square feet of office space located at 415 Cambria Street NW in Christiansburg, Virginia (Montgomery County Tax Map No. 466- A 1)(former Rowe Furniture location).  The rental period would be for one-year and may be extended from month to month by the tenant for one (1) additional year. The proposed tenant is Fiber Technologies Solutions, Inc. and the primary use of the warehouse space will be for storage of large spools of fiber as they install fiber in the region.
