State Farm donates to Christiansburg Fire Department

Local State Farm insurance agent Glenn Cochran, left, hands a check for $500 to Christiansburg Fire Department Chief Billy Hanks to help out the department with expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The check will be used to buy such items as face masks, goggles, rubber gloves, gowns, hand sanitizer and cleaning spray that will help protect the firefighters on their calls. Cochran said the donation was State Farm’s way of saying thanks to all the “front-line responders.”
