This year’s Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival, which comes to an end on Sunday, celebrates 30 years of the farm’s annual pumpkin harvest.

The star of the show is the pumpkin patch, but festival goers can enjoy a weekend packed with games, music, food and entertainment. They can listen to live music, discover local vendors, or take horseback tours of the property. The festival offers authentic southern barbeque, kettle corn, hand-dipped ice cream by hand and more. Adults can enjoy samplings of local beer and wine.
The festival is open to guests Thursday and Friday, Oct. 29 and 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with limited offerings such as ice cream, cider, hot chocolate, wagon rides and corn maze excursions. Saturday, Oct. 31, the festival is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and is open on Sunday, Nov. 1, from noon to 5 p.m.
Admission Thursday and Friday is $7 per person; $5 for seniors, military and first responders with children 2 and under admitted free. Saturday and Sunday admission is $10 per person; $8 for seniors, military and first responders, and children 2 and under admitted free. Attractions include hayrides, the corn maze, farm animals, live music and special events for the kids.
In accordance with guidelines and orders from the state and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, guests are asked to adhere to Sinkland Farms’ COVID-19 protocols. Guests must wear a mask to enter and are advised to social distance. Attendees can utilize the many hand-washing and hand-sanitizing stations on the property. The farm is located at 3020 Riner Rd. Christiansburg.
