Robert Painter “Buckeye” Harris, 82, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at his home in Radford.
He was a U.S.A.F. veteran and was retired from Hartford Insurance in Hartford, Conn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Judson and Frances Harris; a brother, Dr. Judson Harris; and a sister, Betty Johnson.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Virginia Harris; a son, Mark Harris; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy Prisk Buettiker and Alex, and Karen Savvides and Savva; grandchildren Katy Prisk Duncan (Steph), Jessica Prisk, Matthew Prisk, George Savvides, Athena Savvides and Ares Savvides; a niece, Gwen Cannaday; and many other relatives and friends.
Services will be private with burial in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
