Kennedy, Jr., Rev. Lester Washington

The Rev. Lester Washington Kennedy, Jr., 94, of Fairlawn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020.

He was the pastor of Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church for over 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester W., Sr., and Wilhelmina Kennedy; and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Gloria Kennedy.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Lois H. Kennedy; sons and daughters-in-law Lester Kennedy III and Susie, Richard Kennedy and Jeni, and Danny Kennedy and Valarie; daughters and son-in-law Judy Knick, and Joyce Yearout and Ron; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be private in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.

A celebration of his life will be held on his birthday July 4, 2021 at Fairlawn Grace Brethren Church.
