Susan Betsy Vaughn, 75, formerly of West Bridgewater, Mass.; passed away at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 10, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C. Donald and Grace Ross. She retired from LewisGale Hospital Montgomery after a lifelong career as a nurse.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, Posey Franklin (Frank) Vaughn; her children, William A. (Gemma) Skelton IV of Bremerton, Wash., Geoffrey S. Skelton of Floyd, and Melissa A. (Kenneth Ford) Skelton, of Elliston; her step-children, Robin (Robert) Jones, Neal (Tonya) Vaughn, and Joel (Beth) Vaughn; her siblings, Jane (Rodney) Taylor, Kathleen (Cesar) Elias, William (Tom) Everette (Sandra) Vaughn, and Emma Catherine Vaughn Pauley; her grandchildren, Janice (Matt) Benson , John Lontoc, William Skelton V, Jonas (Kylee Kanon) Skelton-Smith, Julivete (Tyler Haas) Skelton, Eli Smith, Zachary Skelton, Geoffrey Skelton Jr, Anthony Caudill, Nikki Jones, Travis (Ashley) Jones, Zachary Ward, Gabbie Vaughn, Alivia Vanover, Wyatt Jones, Payton Jones, and Briar Vaughn; her great-grandchildren, Madden Benson, Troy Benson, Dezmond Benson, and Nicole Jones; along with many other family and friends.
The family wishes to express its gratitude for the prayers, support, and kind words during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Susan Vaughn is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
