Kathleen Price Absher, 81, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at her home.
She was born in Montgomery County on Sept. 27, 1939, to the late Minor and Ruby Woolwine Price.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Price, and a sister, Betty Neighbors. She was employed at Virginia Tech for over 25 years and retired from Radford University. She enjoyed volunteering at The Christmas Store. Kathleen was a member of Belmont 2 Ruritan Club.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, J.C. Absher; a daughter and son-in-law, Angie and John Emery; a son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Christine Absher; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Buck Wrenn, Judy Dowdy, and Carolyn Alls; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Sandy Price; grandchildren Ashley, Coby, Logan, Kailey, and Avery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 1, 2021, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Neal Turner officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
