Shirley D. Sheppard, 84, of Radford, died Saturday, July 31, 2021, at her home.

She was born in Montgomery County on April 13, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her son, Frankie Price; a sister, Reda Hixon; and her brothers, James Graves and Curtis Graves.

Shirley was a very loving and caring wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a cook for the children at Carousel Daycare for 30-plus years.

She is survived her husband, Lewis Sheppard; her children, James Price (Allen), Kendall Price, Danny Price, and Scott Sheppard; grandchildren Breanna Price, April Price, Travis Price, and Tiffany Price; great-grandchildren Isabella Johnson, Calista Price, Chyanne Byrd, Elsie Byrd, Lily Price, Maddy Price, Declan Price, Reid Price, and Rayeden Price; and a sister, Ruth Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted today, Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Spencer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
