The Big South Conference released its 2021 women’s soccer preseason poll Wednesday afternoon with the Radford University Highlanders selected to finish third among the conference’s eleven members.
High Point was named the preseason favorite with eight first-place votes. Voters picked Campbell to finish as the conference runners-up.
The Highlanders have now been picked to finish within the league’s top five teams for 13 straight seasons.
The fall season is set to kick off on Thursday, Aug. 12, as the Highlanders will travel to Washington, D.C, for an exhibition against American University. The team will then return to Radford for a second exhibition match on Monday, Aug. 15, against Concord.
The regular season then begins on Thursday, Aug. 19, in Cupp Stadium against Mount St. Mary’s. Radford will make its first road trip of the season on Aug. 27 to face Wofford.
