The Christiansburg Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Room, Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street to receive comments on the following:
An Appeal of the Zoning Administrator Determination by Kevin D. Conner, L.A. on behalf of SHAH Development LLC for Thomas Circle Mobile Home Park located adjacent to Thomas Circle, N.W. and Badger Street, N.W., [tax map 525 –((1)) – 98, 99 and 525 – ((A)) – 44A, 44D] including 140, 170, 190-220 Badger Street, N.W., 875-897 Thomas Circle, N.W., and undeveloped property east of the intersection of Badger Street, N.W., and Elk Drive, N.W. (south of the existing mobile home park) in the B-3, General Business zoning district [the “Property”].
The determination stated that the Town Code does not permit the Subdivision of the mobile home areas in the Thomas Circle mobile home park based on the number of mobile homes permitted per the latest Conditional Use Permit approval on August 13, 2021 in order to for each mobile home unit to be located on a fee simple subdivided lot separate from other mobile homes or areas such as common areas, private drives, or stormwater facilities.
A copy of the letter of appeal, the Town’s Zoning Map, and Zoning Ordinance may be viewed in the Planning Department Office, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, VA 24073-3029 during normal office hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
