A Thanksgiving food drive by the Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with Christiansburg High School’s DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) club netted more than 60 baskets that were donated to local families. Donations of full boxes/baskets were made by many staff members who work for various departments throughout the Town of Christiansburg, members of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission, the Hornets 10U softball team, and many other patrons of the Christiansburg Recreation Center. This particular food drive helped gain more than 50% of DECA’s goal of 120 Thanksgiving baskets.
