Virginia Tech Board of Visitors to meet June 6-7

The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting on Tuesday, June 7, at 1:15 p.m. in Room 2100 in Torgersen Hall, 620 Drillfield Drive, on the Blacksburg campus.

All other committee meetings held during the two-day session will be held at the Classroom Building, 1455 Perry St., in Blacksburg unless otherwise noted.

On Monday, June 6, at 1:15 p.m., all board members will meet in open session and attend an information session in Room 260 of the Classroom Building.

During the board’s two-day session, the following committee meetings will be held:

On June 7, the Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee will meet in open session beginning at 7 a.m. in the Old Guard Salon at the Inn at Virginia Tech, 901 Prices Fork Road in Blacksburg. At 8 a.m., the committee will meet in closed session, followed by an open session in Room 230.

Also on June 7, the Buildings and Grounds Committee will assemble in the lobby of The Inn at Virginia Tech at 7:50 a.m. for a tour of campus grounds. Following the tour, the committee will meet with the Finance and Resource Management Committee in open session at 10 a.m. in Room 260. The Buildings and Grounds Committee will then meet in open session at 10:30 a.m. in Room 260.

On June 6, the Compliance, Audit, and Risk Committee will meet in closed session at 9:30 a.m., followed by an open session in Room 260.

The Finance and Resource Management Committee will meet June 7 beginning at 10:30 a.m. in closed session, followed by open session, in Room 230.

The Governance and Administration Committee will meet in open session on June 6 beginning at 3:45 p.m. in Room 260.

On June 6, the Executive Committee will meet in closed session at noon in Room 230.

During the two-day meeting, board members will discuss 2023-23 tuition and fees and the 2022-23 university budget. The board will also consider a resolution to establish a Department of Real Estate in the Pamplin College of Business.

Public comment will not be received at the meeting.
