Early in-person voting began in Montgomery County on Sept. 23 at the County Registrar’s Office.
Until Nov. 5, citizens may vote early by visiting the Government Center, 755 Roanoke St. in Christiansburg.
The general election takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Polling Location
Voter registration notices indicate the location of the voter’s polling place. Voters unsure of their respective polling place may visit the Virginia Department of Elections website (https://www.elections.virginia.gov/citizen-portal/) for information or contact the Registrar’s Office at (540) 382-5741.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
What form of ID do voters need to bring to the polls?
Virginia voters are reminded that state law requires all voters to provide an acceptable form of identification (ID) at the polls. Voters arriving to the polls without ID will be required to vote a provisional ballot and will have until noon on the Friday after the election to deliver a copy of identification to their locality’s electoral board in order for their provisional ballot to be counted.
