MONTGOMERY Co, Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that occurred Friday (Oct 7) at 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 81, one mile north of North Fork Road in Montgomery County.
76-year-old aJoseph Clyde Long of Allentown, Penn., was traveling south on his 2007 Hardley Davidson when the motorcycle ran off the left side of the highway, struck a guardrail, and ejected the driver.
Long was wearing his helmet but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
