John Robert Borman, 72, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at his home.
He was born in St. Charles, Ill., on Aug. 23, 1950, to the late Robert Charles and Phyllis Bragg Borman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam Conflict.
John enjoyed working at the Lyric Theatre for many years.
He was a member of Leon and McCoy VFW Post 5311.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Smith Borman; sons Danny Maxey, Jr., and his wife, Jeannie, and Robert Manfred Borman; grandchildren Emmy and Ally; great-grandchildren Noah, Cade, and Sky; sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and Bob Koelman, and Robin and Takashi Haruna; aunt Coanne Johnson; and several other relatives and special furry companions Cooper, Sweetie Pie, and Gibbs.
The family sends special thanks to Carilion New River Valley Hospice, especially to nurse Bruce and musical therapists, Kelly, Paul Smith, and Dan Maderic. Per John’s request, no services will be held.
