RADFORD – Virginia Tech Athletics hired Katie Givens’s horticulture students to provide 45 centerpieces for the men’s basketball tip-off banquet held last Friday.
VT sports analyst Mike Burnop opened the banquet with a shout-out to Radford High School for the beautiful arrangements. The students also participated in all aspects of the business part of the experience from ordering to billing.
“Kudos to Katie and her students for a successful school-based enterprise experience,” said RHS Principal Tara Grant.
