The Blacksburg Planning and Building Department has received a conditional use permit application for a personal improvement service use in the office zoning district at 2200 S. Main St.

The building is currently being renovated for TRC (formerly Draper Aden Associates), who will occupy a 15,918 square-foot space for an approved by-right office use in the O-Office district.  Fit Body Boot Camp is proposing to relocate to the 4,132 square foot portion of the existing two-tenant structure.

No exterior improvements to the building, parking, landscaping, or grounds are proposed for this project. All activities and classes for Fit Body Boot Camp will be inside the building. The hours of operation are anticipated to be 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday with morning hours on Saturday. The future land use designation in the Town Comprehensive Plan is commercial.

A neighborhood meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers, Second Floor Municipal Building, 300 S. Main St.

The planning commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Roger E. Hedgepeth Chambers, Second Floor Municipal Building, 300 S. Main St.
