19-year-old dies in crash on Little River Road

At approximately noon, Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, a 19-year-old male from Pulaski County was pronounced dead at the New River Valley Medical Center after he was transported from the scene of a one-vehicle crash in the 3100 block of Little River Road in Montgomery County.

The NRV 911 Center received the call in reference to the accident at approximately 7:40 a.m. Sunday.

The accident was reported to have involved an overturned vehicle in the Little River. Sheriff’s deputies as well as fire and rescue crews responded to the scene, and upon arrival, rescue divers located one male occupant inside the vehicle. He was subsequently removed but was unresponsive.

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time, but he was transported by EMS to the New River Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team is continuing its ongoing investigation of the incident.
