Montgomery-Radford-Floyd NAACP branch to hold general body meet Sunday, Feb. 26

The Montgomery Co.-Radford-Floyd branch of the NAACP will hold a general body meeting via Zoom on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The meeting is a combined celebration of Black History Month and the branch’s pounding anniversary of Feb. 12, 1909.

The branch is seeking volunteers to lead various program committees. The committees and their chairs are Jim Klagge/ communications; Debbie Travis, criminal justice/legal redress (seeking co-chair); Judy Barlyske and Karen Eley Sanders/ education; Karen Jones/ environment; Jill Stewart/ finance; Jill Stewart and Debbie Travis/ freedom fundraising; Karen Jones/ political action; Shirley Brown/ health; Roxie Palmer and Shirley Akers/ membership/life membership,    Michael Sanborn/religious affairs, Debbie Travis (seeking co-chair)/scholarship ad hoc, Cheryl Burrell Graves and Tamara Cherry Clarke/young adults (need chair), veterans affairs (need chair).
