Painter, Steven Campbell

Steven Campbell Painter, 69, of Fairlawn, passed away at Pulaski Health and Rehab on Thursday, April 27, 2023. 

He was preceded in death by his father, William Buxton “Buck” Painter, Sr.

Survivors include his daughter, Cara Lee Painter Epperly; grandson, Jackson Thomas Epperly; mother, Patricia M. Painter; brothers and sisters-in-law, William B. “Buck” Painter, Jr. (Vicki), and Richard “Rick” Painter (Kay); sister and brother-in-law, Karen “Kippy” Roberts (Audie); nephews, William “Buck” Painter, III (Tracey), Thomas Painter, and Jason Roberts (Paula); niece, Jessica Roberts; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews, family members and friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (Neuro & Palliative Care Unit), Pulaski Health and Rehab, and Good Samaritan Hospice for the care they all provided Steve during his illness.

The family received friends on Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. A graveside service followed in Hickman Cemetery in Pulaski County.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Marcus Allen Ford Scholarship Fund, 7649 Brooklyn Road, Fairlawn, VA, 24141.

The Painter family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home and Crematory.
