SHAWSVILLE – This year’s Shawsville Waldron Fitness 5k, held annually on the Fourth of July, honored race founder Marvin Ballard, who passed away this past March.
Ballard was a teacher and coach at Eastern Montgomery High School and a fixture in the Shawsville/ Elliston running community.
Approximately 200 runners took part in this year’s race under sunny skies.
