The Christiansburg Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Christiansburg Town Hall, 100 E. Main Street, Christiansburg, Virginia 24073. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments concerning a proposed amendment to the Christiansburg Town Code Chapter 26 to add Section 26-136 for cost reimbursement for fire services. The amendment proposes reasonable fees to be charged for fire services provided by all fire services personnel, whether provided by volunteer or town employees. The schedule of rates for services is proposed to be established by resolution of the Town Council. The funds received from the payment of these fees will be used to aid in defraying the cost of providing fire services.
