Pursuant to the provisions of Section 15.2-2204 & 15.2-2285 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as

amended, the Montgomery County Planning Commission hereby gives notice of a public hearing

to be held on October 11, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the County Government Center, 755 Roanoke St., Christiansburg, Virginia, in order to hear citizen comments regarding the Planning Commission’s intention to act on the following Special Use Permit request:

A request by Harvey Morris & Susan R. Cochran for a Special Use Permit (SUP) to

allow a Contractor’s Storage Yard within the A-1, Agricultural Zoning District. The property is located at the end of Rustic Trail (Private Rd) which intersects with Peppers

Ferry Road (St. Rt. 114). The property is further identified as Tax Map 076-1 8 (Parcel ID: 018773), 37.220 acres, zoned Agricultural (A-1) in the Riner Magisterial District. The property currently lies in an area designated as Rural in the 2025 Comprehensive Plan.
