Wilmer “Chuck” Swett, 90, formerly of Radford, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, at Heritage Hall in Rich Creek.
He was a U. S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, Purcell and Ruthie Swett.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Ray Hunt; two grandchildren; his sister, Ellen Locklear of Concord, N.C.; brothers, Lathan Swett of Greensboro, N.C., Bobby Swett of Pembroke, N.C., and Purcell “Jr” Swett of Fairmont, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with full military honors was held Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023, at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin with Rev. Dr. Paul Lane officiating.
The Swett family cares for the Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
