Catherine Mae Lewis Delaney, 92, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, N.C. She was a member of First Baptist Church on Rock Road.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Delaney; parents, Walter and Lillie Lewis; son, Terrance L. Delaney; infant daughter; brother, Walter Lewis; sisters, Ivory Booth and Carrie Brown; and grandson, Joseph “Joey” Delaney.
Survivors include her sons, Joseph Lopez Delaney (Bonnie) of Jacksonville, N.C., and Anthony Delaney (Pam) of Radford; daughter-in-law, Kelly Delaney of Richmond; grandchildren, Toni Watson, Shannon Delaney, Brent “B.A.” Delaney, Alex Delaney, and Trevor Delaney; five great grandchildren; three children that she considered her own, Bill, Miranda, and Bobby Keck; daughter she never had, Doris Dobbins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family received friends Friday, Dec. 8, 2023, at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Graveside services followed in Highland Memory Gardens with grandson, Rev. Trevor Delaney officiating.
