Cecille Sayers Pettry, 96, of Pearisburg, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Pettry; daughter, Shelby B. Collins; father and mother, Ellis and Roxie Sayers; and grandson, John Gillespie.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra C. Vest of Georgia, and Sharon and husband Dan Steuck of California, son-in-law, Billy Collins of Virginia; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; brother, Howard Sayers of South Carolina; along with nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Horne Funeral Home 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Huffville Cemetery. Arrangements with Horne Funeral Home.
