Events scheduled for Blacksburg, Christiansburg and Radford
On Thursday, April 18, the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) will host a second open house to gather further input regarding the expansion of passenger rail service to the New River Valley through planning, design, and construction of rail infrastructure improvements.
The open house will be held from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Montgomery County Government Center in Christiansburg.
During this second round of engagement, VRPA is asking community members to rank their preferred passenger rail site location via survey. The survey will go live on April 17 and will be available to fill out in person at the below events, as well as online on VRPA’s website. The survey will be available until May 17.
VRPA will be present at the following events, and will have information and the survey available:
April 17: Blacksburg Farmers Market (2 – 6 p.m.)
April 18: Radford Public Library (10 – 12:30 p.m.)
April 18: OPEN HOUSE Montgomery County Government Center (4:30 – 7:30 p.m.)
April 20: Blacksburg Fork & Cork Festival (12:30 – 5:30 p.m.)
