RADFORD – A new, dedicated pediatric clinic is open at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center

Carilion Children’s celebrated a newly renovated, dedicated pediatric specialty clinic at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (2900 Lamb Circle, Suite 210). The Carilion Children’s New River Valley Multispecialty Clinic houses relocated pediatric services under one roof while also introducing several new services to the valley.

“We are thrilled to officially celebrate this amazing space,” said Dr. Christopher Pierce, interim chair of Carilion Children’s. “Our department’s mission is to improve the health of all kids. Bringing these crucial services closer to home for our New River Valley families allows us to do just that, improving access to specialty care and building on our commitment to the region.”

Pierce joined care teams in a ribbon cutting this morning followed by tours of the space.

Existing Pediatric Cardiology, Endocrinology and Gastroenterology clinics all relocated to the new space in April. The clinic also houses two new specialties to the New River Valley: Child Development and Pediatric Neurology Services.

The renovated space includes four exam rooms, a procedure room and a pediatric-only waiting room to enhance the care experience for patients and their families.

To access this suite, patients should park in the front parking lot and use the main entrance. Complimentary valet parking and shuttles are also available should patients need them.

Patients can be referred to these specialty clinics by their child’s primary care doctor. They may also call 540-731-2611 with any questions.
