The Volunteer Montgomery Scholarship Committee met Friday, April 26 to review applications for this year’s $1,000 scholarship awards. They selected Rylee Akers, a home-schooled student from Sunnyside Academy who plans to attend Radford University to pursue studies in Nursing and Alice Quigley, a student at Blacksburg High School who plans to attend Virginia Commonwealth University to pursue a degree in Genetic Counseling.
