Richard Monroe Vaden, 57, of Floyd, died Tuesday, May 28, 2024. 

He was born Aug. 8, 1966 to the late Marshall and Julia Vaden. Ricky was an amazing and dedicated husband, daddy, and the best Pop Pop ever. He truly loved the Lord and his family and showed it in so many ways. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and enjoyed passing these hobbies on to his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Ricky was a dedicated machinist with MOOG for over 35 years. 

Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend, Jennifer Vaden and his two daughters Ashley Carroll (Wes) and Amanda Vaden (Lukes). Also, his grandsons who he absolutely adored, Isaiah Shelburne, Cody Luke Shelburne, and Colty Carroll. 

Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 31, 2024 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment followed in Sunset Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the McCoy Funeral Home.
