It is an annual tradition for interested residents at The Villas at Peppers Ferry to provide school supplies to children in need who are identified by the Montgomery County Department of Social Services (MCDSS).

Rather than purchasing the actual school supplies, Villas’ residents contributed gift cards from local stores, which then allowed the Social Services staff to select the appropriate and specific school supplies needed by their young students. This year Villas’ residents contributed a total of $1,925 in gift cards.

“The Villas’ donations were so generous that we had quite a few gift cards remaining after our initial shopping trip,” MCDSS representative commented. “We continued to receive requests and were able to identify additional families with back-to-school needs. We have now shopped three times and have been able to help so many children in our community this year, all thanks to the kindness of residents at The Villas. We appreciate our partnership with you all so much!”

The Villas’ residents have made a significant difference in these children’s lives and helped them begin their new academic year prepared for success.
