Town of Christiansburg Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that on August 27, 2024 the Town Council of Christiansburg, Virginia (the

“Town”) will conduct a public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, as required under

applicable law, in accordance with Section 15-2-2606 of the Code of Virginia of 1950, as

amended, with respect to the adoption by the Council of a resolution or resolutions, as may be

necessary or convenient, regarding the proposed financing of the development, renovation,

equipping and improvement of the Town’s waste water treatment facilities located at 2557 Crab

Creek Rd., Christiansburg, VA.

The Town proposes to fund the project in part by the issuance of

a general obligation bond to be issued in a principal amount not to exceed $18,600,000. The

purpose of the financing is to pay for the costs of improvements needed and required as

described above.

 

The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be conducted at 7:00PM or as soon thereafter as they matter may be heard, by the Town Council in Council Chambers at the Town Hall

located at 100 E. Main St, Christiansburg, Virginia.

 

Interested persons may appear at such time and

place and present their views whether orally or in writing or submit written comments prior to the

hearing.

The Town may set time limits on speakers and other rules and procedures for the conduct of this public hearing. Any persons with disabilities are urged to contact the Town Manager’s Office at (540) 382-6128 prior to the public hearing to arrange for any necessary accommodations.
