CHRISTIANSBURG – Residents of The Villas at Peppers Ferry exemplify their motto of being “a caring and friendly community.”
It is their annual tradition to conduct a Thanksgiving grocery gift card drive, which enables the Montgomery County Department of Social Services staff to purchase and deliver Thanksgiving groceries to their food-insecure clients. This November residents donated $1,855 in grocery gift cards. By partnering with Social Services staff, Villas’ residents provided meals for families who otherwise would not have had a Thanksgiving meal.
