CHRISTIANSBURG – Each December, the Town of Christiansburg holds Christmas on Main in Downtown Christiansburg.
On Friday, Dec.13 the festivities kicked off at 5 p.m. with Christmas at the Market featuring local crafters and other vendors, followed by the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Christmas Parade. The Tree Lighting Ceremony with the mayor took place at Town Square and the Christmas Parade started at 7 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade was “Decorations, gifts and jingle all the way. Here comes Santa in his big red sleigh.” The parade winners were: Best Overall – Lewis Gale Hospital Montgomery ER; Best Float – Camrett Logistics; and Best Non-Float – Town of Christiansburg Public Works Department.
