Jonathan Darnell Linkous, 59, of Shawsville, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County on Nov. 4, 1965, to the late Otis and Annie Stella Early Linkous. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Iris Linkous.
He is survived by his daughters, Tabitha Ann Linkous, Jessica Danielle Linkous and Stephanie Faith Linkous; sisters and brothers-in-law, Priscilla (Mike) Patrick, Ponnie (Ben) Shawver and Debbie (Eddie) Gallimore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton (Jo) Linkous and Gilbert “Butch” Linkous (Gina); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews; aunts, Mary Alls and Charlotte Matuseavich; and companion and friend, Robin Foster.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at 12 p.m. in the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Eddie Gallimore and Rev. Wes Conner officiating. Interment will follow in the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
