FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 TAX
LEVIES AND BUDGET
Pursuant to Section 58.1-3007 of the Code of Virginia, notice is hereby given that a public
hearing be scheduled for 6:30 P.M. April 10, 2025 on the proposed intention to address the
below listed local tax levies for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 upon which matter citizens will have
the opportunity to be heard. Said hearing will be held at the Montgomery County Government
Center Board Room, 755 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg, Virginia.
FURTHER, notice is given of the Board’s intention to propose the following tax levies for
Fiscal Year 2025-2026:
Real Estate Property tax levy increased from $0.75 to $0.76 per $100 of assessed value.
Personal Property tax levy remains at $2.55 per $100 of assessed value.
Machinery & Tools tax levy remains at $1.82 per $100 of assessed value.
Mobile Homes tax levy increased from $0.75 to $0.76 per $100 of assessed value.
Aircraft tax levy remains at $1.23 per $100 of assessed value.
Notice is also given that the Board of Supervisors of Montgomery County scheduled a public
hearing for 6:45 P.M. or as soon thereafter, April 10, 2025 on the Advertised Fiscal Year 2025
2026 Budget in the amount of $270,810,181. Said hearing will be held at the Montgomery
County Government Center Board Room, 755 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg, Virginia.
